ByteTools' Catapult JTAG probes are available for Diamond Standard and Xtensa configurable processors. The high-performance, low-cost Catapult devices work out-of-the-box with Cadence's software development tools, meaning that users need not install any additional software. Catapult probes interface to the standard XOCD 14-pin JTAG header, with Catapult EJ-1 offering an Ethernet host interface, and Catapult UJ-1 offering a USB host interface. Lauterbach supports Cadence's DPUs with its TRACE32 PowerView microprocessor debugger. The PowerDebug in-circuit debugger is a high-performance JTAG debugger. The PowerDebug's hardware consists of a universal debug module that can be connected to any PC or workstation via a USB 2.x or Ethernet interface. The PowerView software supports multicore debugging. Graphical variable displays and dedicated commands to handle large arrays support the development of DSP-specific code. These models will run with our TurboXim fast functional simulator, which simulates at speeds 40X to 80X faster than a traditional instruction set simulator.

Imperas's OVP wrappers for Tensilica cores use the built-in API in our simulation model for communication between the processor model and the OVP platform. The wrapper file is available now and downloadable free of charge at the OVP website: www.OVPworld.org.

WMA provides consumers with high-quality music in half the file size of the MP3 format, and makes it easy for device manufacturers and chip manufacturers to license WMA thanks to its attractive licensing terms. As a result, WMA is now supported on hundreds of consumer electronic devices including DVD players, set-top boxes, car stereos, and portable music players.
