Media Alert: Chris Rowen to Present at Linley Tech Processor Conference

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 21, 2014—Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS), a leader in global electronic design innovation, today announced that Cadence® Fellow and founder of Tensilica, Chris Rowen, is scheduled to present at the Linley Tech Processor Conference on April 30, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, CA.

WHAT: Dr. Rowen plans to present “Architectural Requirements for Always-On Subsystems.” He will discuss the best ways to implement always-on functions, including voice, face and gesture recognition as well as sensor-fusion and context-awareness applications. This presentation will review the latest requirements for these always-on functions and discuss architectural considerations that will help designers evaluate the tradeoffs between using the applications processor versus an offload DSP core, on-chip versus separate chip implementations, and hardware and software issues.
